After its first two editions, Look Closer returns with a new chapter of the project that transforms the rooms of SuperOtium into spaces where art and hospitality meet.
For this third edition, 8 curators have been invited to involve 8 artists connected to the local territory, each bringing their work into the real and imaginary rooms of SuperOtium. The works inhabit the spaces of the art hotel, entering into dialogue with those who move through them, blending everyday life and vision.
Through an intuition deeply rooted in the nature of Naples itself, the curators engage with the coexistence of contrasting visions within the same place. The project questions the ability of these differences to generate a complex and multilayered urban narrative capable of reflecting the city’s many possible perspectives.
Look Closer is not a traditional exhibition, but rather an exercise in attention: an invitation to slow down one’s gaze, to observe fractures and details invisible at first glance. An invitation to explore Naples through intuitions, contrasts and visions — those of artists who live here or who have chosen this city as their home.
The guests staying at SuperOtium also become active participants in the project: throughout the exhibition period — and especially during the opening night — those temporarily inhabiting the rooms hosting the artworks may choose whether or not to open their doors to visitors, transforming hospitality into a spontaneous act of sharing and encounter.
The protagonists of the 2026 edition will be progressively announced over the coming days.

Luciana Berti is an art historian and curator specializing in contemporary art and cultural heritage. Since 2019, she has served as Executive Assistant at the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, where she oversees contemporary art projects.
damp collective is an artistic collective founded in 2017 by Alessandro Armento, Luisa de Donato, Viviana Marchiò, and Adriano Ponte. Their research focuses on the temporary nature of things and the dematerialization of the art object.
Marta Wróblewska is a curator and researcher working between Naples and international contexts, with a focus on museology, heritage, identity, memory, curatorial methodologies and artistic legacies.
Hermes Lacatena is a photographer based in Naples. His research focuses on experiments with analogue photography and superposition, while his practice encompasses the reflection on urban spaces and human perception of reality.
Ivano Bove works in cultural communication across copywriting, independent publishing, and curatorial projects. He is co-curator of the DESINA Bookmarket and founder of the independent bookstore Dispaccio Napoli.
Luigi Lista is a photographer born in Naples in 1987. After training in the fashion industry, he developed a personal practice focused on the intimate, fragile, and introspective dimensions of human experience.
Fabio Frasca is a collector and founder of the Fabio Frasca Collection, established in 2011 and distinguished by its commitment to experimental and unconventional contemporary artistic practices.
Carmela De Falco lives and works between Naples and Paris. Her research explores language, memory, and space, questioning established cultural structures through installation, photography, and performative practices.
Giulia Grechi teaches Cultural Anthropology and Anthropology of Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. Her research focuses on cultural studies, decolonial practices, and queer imaginaries.
Rrrrosæ PL lives and works in Scampia, Naples. Their artistic practice investigates archives, memory, and queer genealogies through experiences of intercultural mediation and work with marginalized communities.
WHITESPACE Projects / Naples is an independent space dedicated to artist residencies, encounters, and international projects connected to contemporary creativity. It was founded by Pietro Costa and Angela Manetti.
Marah Al-Zaanin is a Palestinian artist born in Beit Hanoun in 2007. She currently lives in a refugee camp in Gaza City, where drawing functions as a practice of testimony, survival, and resistance.
Giulia Pollicita is a researcher and curator based in Naples. She works at Fondazione Morra Greco and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Arts London, where she researches the relationship between local and global curatorial practices.
Delia Gonzalez is a Cuban-American interdisciplinary artist and composer working across film, music, painting, performance, and writing, weaving together rituality, mythology, and speculative futures.
Lorenzo Xiques López is a curator, researcher, and queer activist born in Caracas and active within Naples’ contemporary art scene. His practice intertwines queer studies, institutional critique, and contemporary urban cultures.
Napolilasvegas is the artistic and communication project of Federica Ricci, a Neapolitan artist and content creator who uses photography, writing, and digital languages to construct a contemporary urban narrative of the city.
SuperOtium is an art hotel and artist residency located in the heart of Naples’ historic center. Since 2017, it has promoted a model of hospitality integrated with creative research, collective experiences, and dialogue with the local and international artistic community.
